Train services on the North-South Line were disrupted early yesterday morning. The disruption came after a five-hour breakdown on the same line on Thursday left 127,000 commuters stranded. The disruption lasted for 7 hours leaving 94,000 commuters affected and 7 trains damaged. The breakdowns on SMRT train services have added to discontent over the rising costs of public transport. Some 80 protesters turned up at a demonstration organised by The Online Citizen yesterday to signal discontent with the SMRT management.
I like the PM’s sincere approach – he speaks from his heart and not from script – unlike some of the corporate and government people. 5 thumbs up for PM! From AndyTheCoach
