Are women discriminated against in the workplace? Prof. Steve Horwitz argues that women make certain choices, such as career selection and raising children, which tend to result in lower wages than men.
These choices could be the result of personal preferences or sexist cultural expectations for women’s work, though the relative influence of these two factors remains unclear.
Is this flame bait? =P
It’s factual, but there’s going to feminist push back where they argue that “society is constructed by men” so as to perpetuate a culture where such choices are encouraged and deviation from them is frowned upon. This radical feminist perspective is exaggerated as mistaken.
