Singapore’s Environmental Challenges

Ernest Bower, director of the Southeast Asia Program at the Centre for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), interviewed Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources last week in Washington DC. The Minister was in Washington DC to attend the Major Economies Forum.

During the interview, Dr Balakrishnan highlighted the inter-dependence nature of the environmental challenges ASEAN faces as well as the geopolitical, economic and technological aspects of the challenge brought about by water, climate change and energy.
