The government expressed its objection that the promotion of safety and security standards and adherence to the safeguards and verification regime of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are attempts to obstruct countries’ access to nuclear technology for peaceful uses. Singapore will join the IAEA Board of Governors this September. -
