SMRT management met the media at its headquarters a day after the North-Southline breakdown that lasted five hours and affected 127,000 commuters.
The breakdown, which took place on 15 December 2011, is probably the worst breakdown in the 24-year history of the Mass Rapid Transit in Singapore.
I wonder who helped her write her speech. I cannot help but doubt her sincerity. Any CEO who is really in the know of things would not need to pass the mic to another person to describe what had happened. It wasn’t as if she needed to go technical , in fact if she had described the problem herself, it would relate to the lay man more…sigh!
